About Janet Fleck Griffith

Practice Areas:

Special Education Law

Ms. Griffith’s practice focuses on helping families with educational and mental health issues for students with disabilities. She has represented families with a variety of education needs including IEPs, 504 Plans, behavior, mental health, suspensions, and expulsions. She assists families at all stages of their education journey, such as special education eligibility and implementation, attending meetings, and due process hearings. Janet has helped children with a variety of conditions including complex medical needs, autism, ADHD, anxiety, school refusal, reading and math learning disabilities, PANDAS, PTSD, trauma-based needs, etc. Janet is passionate about her work because she has personal experience with special education and adoption. As a mother of a child with ADHD and an IEP, she relates to the difficulties parents face when navigating the unfamiliar landscape of special education. Janet also has personal and non-profit volunteer experience with adoption and foster care. Janet genuinely believes it’s an honor to help children and families thrive and grow.

Ms. Griffith resides in Cleveland Heights with her husband, school-aged children, and standard parti-poodle, Madison Bowie. She is an active member in her community and Parent Teacher Association. She serves on the Board of Directors for Family Connections of Northeast Ohio.
